Pospisil, Kaser locked in a tight battle for Super Late Model Crown at I-80

As the 2014 NASCAR Whelen All American Series season winds down at I-80 Speedway, Tad Pospisil of Norfolk and Jase Kaser of Lincoln are locked in a battle for the Cubby’s Super Late Model Title. Currently Pospisil holds just a single point lead over the charging Kaser, who is the defending track champion. Neither should take their eye off Bill Leighton, Jr., who is just 14 points behind Kaser.

Another tight battle is in the Ty’s Outdoor Power & Service B Mods where Dennis Cook of Council Bluffs, Iowa has a slim two point advantage over Cody Olsen of Omaha with Red Oak, Iowa’s Jerod Weston 18 points behind Olsen,

In the Tighton Tools A Mods, Mark Leiting of Lincoln has a comfortable 48 point lead over Clint Homan of Bellevue and another 8 points over Greenwood’s Kevin Larkins.

Jim Hendricks, Jr. of Council Bluffs leads the Rotella’s ProAms by 26 points over Scotty Hartman of Waverly with Brad Deery of New Market, Iowa 48 behind Hendricks.

Brian Kosiski of Papillion has control of the LaVista Keno Grand Nationals with a 74 point lead over Dave Cook of Lincoln and a 132 point advantage over Elkhorn’s Dave Jorgensen, Jr.

Finally, Brad Schreiner of Weeping Water leads the River City Heating & Cooling Hornets by 40 points over Dave Christensen of Ashland with Andrew Cuva of Omaha 65 points behind the leader.

The NASCAR Whelen All American Series season resumes on Friday, August 15 with just two more points nights of racing after that, Friday, August 22 and All Star Sunday on Sunday, August 31.

Friday, August 15 is Shriner’s Night so bring the kids and have them meet the clowns. Grandstands open at 5:30 pm and racing at 7:15 pm. It’s also the Southeast Community College Engine Build Challenge. Come see how fast SECC students can build an engine.
