Spring Meltdown kicks off huge 2015 I-80 Speedway schedule

In just one week I-80 Speedway will kick off its huge 2015 racing season with the Spring Meltdown. Action will actually start on Thursday, April 2 with an open practice starting at 6 pm. Then on Friday, April 3 things heat up with night one of the Spring Meltdown featuring CBC/MLRA Super Late Models, Nebraska 360 Sprint Cars, unsanctioned A Mods and unsanctioned Stock Cars.. Racing starts at 7:15 pm. Then on Saturday, April 4 those four classes will be back in action again joined by 305 RaceSaver Sprints racing starts at 6 pm.

A week later on April 10 & 11 it’s the Bugeater Bash featuring A Mods, B Mods, Bragging Rights Late Models (Grand Nationals), Stock Car/ProAms, Hobby Stocks and Compacts. NASCAR Whelen All American Series weekly racing is slated to start on Friday, April 24 featuring Cubby’s Super Late Models, Tighton Tools A Mods, Ty’s Outdoor Power & Service B Mods, LaVista Keno Bragging Rights Late Models (Grand Nationals), Rotella’s Stock Car/ProAms and River City Heating & Cooling Compacts.

Throughout the 2015 racing season I-80 will present a number of specials including the Charlie Clark Memorial on May 24, the World of Outlaw Sprints on June 5, the Alphabet Soup Race on June 26, the June Jamboree on June 28, then it’s the Crown Jewel event the Silver Dollar Nationals on July 16, 17 & 18. The National Sprint League will make it’s inaugural visit to I-80 on July 31.

Speedway Motors will be giving away free tickets all year to the Speedy Bill Memorial on August 28. NASCAR Whelen Championship night (All Star Sunday) will be Sunday, September 6 with Nebraska 360 Sprints also in the house. The widely acclaimed Midwest Fall Brawl returns on September 17, 18 & 19 as an ASCS National event, the National Sprint League returns on October 2 & 3 with the Fearless 410 Finale and finally on the following weekend the season will come to a close with the Cornhusker Classic.

So things just keep getting bigger and better every year at I-80 Speedway and its hard to believe that another track in the Midwest has a schedule that rivals the I-80 Speedway schedule.
