Andy Wilkinson of York and Tony Rost of Utica claimed Championships in the first annual Kosiski Auto Parts/Friesen Chevrolet Bragging Rights Championships.

The Bragging Rights Point Funds were set up to promote A Mod and B Mod racing in the area.  Any track in Eastern Nebraska or Western Iowa could participate in the Bragging Rights Point Fund by contributing $1,700 for A Mods and $1,000 for B Mods. The only tracks that chose to participate were the I-80 Speedway near Greenwood and the Junction Motor Speedway at McCool Junction. For a driver to be eligible they must compete a minimum of ten races at each of two tracks participating in the point fund.

Wilkinson won the A Mod Championships and a check for $2,000 and a gift certificate from Friesen Chevrolet for $1,000 by beating out Mark Leiting of Lincoln, Jeremy Leiting of Valparaiso and Shane Stutzman of Milford. Wilkinson also finished third in the nation in NASCAR Whelen All American Series Division II for dirt tracks.

Rost raced at each track ten times to post the most points in the B Mods and take a check for $1,000 plus a $1,000 gift certificate from Friesen Chevrolet. Rost also finished second in the nation in the NASCAR Whelen All American Series Division II for dirt tracks losing to Jared Umbenhauer of Richland, Pennsylvania by a single point.
