All Star Sunday is Championship Night at I-80 Speedway
Sunday, September 3 is Championship Night at I-80 Speedway with champions being crowned in all seven NASCAR classes including; Cubby’s Super Late Models, Custom Diesel Driver’s Training A Mods, Ty’s Outdoor Power & Service B Mods, Kosiski Auto Parts Bragging Rights Late Models, Rotella’s Stock Cars, Certified Transmission Hobby Stocks & River City Heating & Cooling Compacts. The Good Ole Time Racing Association (GOTRA) will also be in the house.
Tight points battles include in the Cubby’s Super Late Models with Tad Pospisil leading Ben Schaller by 12 and Bill Leighton, Jr. just four behind Schaller. In the Custom Diesel Driver’s Training A Mods Travis Hatcher leads Justin Gregg by just 12 points. In the Ty’s Outdoor Power & Service B Mods Shawn Harker leads Gunnar Pike by 24 points while in the Rotella’s Stock Cars Nick Woodard has a ten point advantage over Eric Rempel.
The real close battle is in the River City Heating & Cooling Compacts with Dan Markham holding just a four point advantage over Jeremy Bohlen. Finally in the Certified Transmission Hobby Stocks, Luke Ramsey has a nine point advantage over Jason Kohl.
Even if you are not in the points race or do not have a NASCAR license you can still race this Sunday at I-80 for just $25 with a temporary license. You can purchase one when you get to the track, so come and race with us.
Pits open at 3 pm., Grandstands at 4:30pm with Racing at 6pm. Grandstand Admission is $12 for Adults, $5 for Kids (6-12) and Five and under free as always.
