Larkins, Bell claim Bragging Rights Championships
Kevin Larkins of Greenwood and Justin Bell of Omaha claimed Championships in the Second Annual Kosiski Auto Parts/Friesen Chevrolet Bragging Rights Championships.
The Bragging Rights Point Funds were set up to promote A Mod and B Mod racing in the area. Any track in Eastern Nebraska or Western Iowa could participate in the Bragging Rights Point Fund by contributing $1,700 for A Mods and $1,000 for B Mods. The only tracks that chose to participate were the I-80 Speedway near Greenwood and the Junction Motor Speedway at McCool Junction. For a driver to be eligible they must compete a minimum of ten races at each of two tracks participating in the point fund.
Larkins won the A Mod Championships and a check for $2,000 and a gift certificate from Friesen Chevrolet for $1,000 by beating out Jeremy Leiting of Valparaiso by just four points. Larkins finished 3rd in A Mod points at both I-80 Speedway and the Junction Motor Speedway.
Bell won the B Mod Bragging rights title by defeating Herb Slough of Doniphan and picks up a check for $1,000 plus a $1,000 gift certificate from Friesen Chevrolet.
