Whelen Night, Military/Veterans Night combined on Friday, June 29
Whelen/Military Night promises to be a big night at I-80 Speedway
With last Friday Night’s races (June 22) falling to the weather, this week’s action at I-80 Speedway promises to be action packed. First of all, any fans who had Military/Veterans tickets for last Friday’s action can use them this Friday, June 29 as we combine Whelen Night with Military/Veteran’s Night and also have the Edwards Nissan/Kia Kid’s Bike Races.
We will once again pay tribute to fallen officers Mark Burbridge and Kerrie Orozco with Compact driver Jim Cahill leading a lap around the track honoring our fallen police officers.Cahill’s car will once again carry a tribute wrap to fallen Deputy Burbridge.
Racing at I-80 on June 29 will feature the weekly NASCAR Whelen All American Series program featuring all seven classes of racing. Classes include; the Cubby’s Super Late Models, Custom Diesel Driver’s Training Modifieds, Ty’s Outdoor Power & Service SportMods, Kosiski Auto Parts Bragging Rights Late Models, Rotella’s Stock Cars, River City Heating & Cooling Compacts and Certified Transmission Hobby Stocks.
Don’t forget the ever popular Kid’s Bike Races sponsored by Edwards Nissan/Kia will also be held at intermission, so kid’s bring your bikes.
Pit gates open at 4 pm, Grandstands at 5:30 pm with racing at 7:15 pm. I-80 Speedway is located one block north of Interstate 80 Exit 420, halfway between Omaha and Lincoln.
